uiacuerpoThe International Association for Geoethics (IAGETH) has been included in the database of the Union of International Associations (UIA).

“The Union of International Associations (UIA) is a research institute and documentation centre, based in Brussels. It was founded over one hundred years ago, in 1907, by Henri La Fontaine (Nobel Peace Prize laureate of 1913), and Paul Otlet, a founding father of what is now called information science. Non-profit, apolitical, independent, and non-governmental in nature, the UIA has been a pioneer in the research, monitoring and provision of information on international organizations, international associations and their global challenges since 1907. The UIA has consultative status with ECOSOC and associate status with UNESCO.”

IAGETH is listed in the Yearbook of International Organizations, and it also appears in the Open Yearbook. (A Service of the UIA)

«The Open Yearbook is a free service of UIA’s subscription-based Yearbook of International Organizations (YBIO). It includes profiles of non-profit organizations working worldwide in all fields of activity. The information contained in the profiles and search functionality of this free service are limited

«The aim of the Open Yearbook is to promote the activities of international non-governmental organizations (INGOs) and intergovernmental organizations (IGOs).”

The over 66,000 international organizations maintained in the database include Intergovernmental Organizations (IGOs) and International Nongovernmental Organizations (INGOs) in 300 countries and territories. Approximately 1,200 new organizations are added each year.”
