Between the 7th and 20th of July 2013, Salamanca was the successful scenary of an exciting International Encounter of students and professors from four European Universities: Salamanca, Coimbra, Ferrara and Budapest. This encounter is framed within an ERASMUS Intensive Programme: GLOGE 2012/2013 Global Heritage and Sustainability: Geological, Cultural and Historical.
Jesús Martinez-Frías, representing IUGS-COGE and IAGETH was invited to give a talk. It was followed by an interesting discussion and round table, with the participation of Dr. Lola Pereira (Organizer), Dr. Franco Mantovani (University of Ferrara) and all students.
Global heritage Stone is a project of the Heritage Stone Task Group (HSTG) of the International Union of Geological Sciences (IUGS) and the International Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment (IAEG) Commission C-10 Building Stone and Ornamental Rock.
