Desde el primer momento, hemos intentado que en nuestra Red se reflejara, tanto nacional como internacionalmente, el car\u00e1cter interdisciplinar necesario para el desarrollo de las actividades relacionadas con la Planetolog\u00eda y Astrobiolog\u00eda en su sentido m\u00e1s amplio.<\/p>\n<p>REDESPA se congratula de la incorporaci\u00f3n de la Dra. Gerda Horneck, quien acaba de ser nombrada Editora Adjunta de la revista \u00abAstrobiology\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Inclu\u00edmos a continuaci\u00f3n un breve texto sobre su perfil y actividades:<\/p>\n<p><em>Dr. Horneck is former Deputy Director of the Institute of Aerospace Medicine of the German Aerospace Center <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dlr.de\/dlr\/en\/desktopdefault.aspx\/tabid-10002\/\">DLR<\/a> and former Head of its Radiation Biology Section (retired). She has been involved in several radiobiological and astrobiological space experiments since the Apollo era.\u00a0She was Team leader of two astrobiological experiments of the EXPOSE missions onboard the International Space Station.\u00a0For her research she was awarded with honors by ESA, NASA, DLR, the International Society of Astrobiology, (ISSOL), and the International Academy of Astronautics (IAA).\u00a0She has been advisor to national and international organizations including DLR, ESA, and the European Commission on space-related issues. Currently Dr. Horneck is Honorary President of the European Astrobiology Network Association (EANA).\u00a0She is author of more than 100 scientific publications and has written or edited several books on astrobiology and space biology.\u00a0Dr. Gerda Horneck has been recently appointed Deputy Editor of the journal \u00ab<a href=\"http:\/\/www.liebertpub.com\/ast\">Astrobiology<\/a>\u00ab.
