\"ieso-logo-final\"<\/a><\/strong>IAGETH is pleased to inform that, thanks to the Mou which was recently signed<\/a> with the International Geoscience Education Organisation (IGEO), the IAGETH logo appears in the official website of the International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The last IESO was held in Spain<\/a> and the next IESO (9th edition) will be held in Po\u00e7os de Caldas<\/a>, Minas Gerais, Brazil. (13-20 September 2015). Further information can be found here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe idea of the International Earth Science Olympiad (IESO) was suggested by several Korean earth scientists before 2003. In 2003, Korean Earth Science Society (KESS) organized the first Korean Earth Science Olympiad (KESO). The second (2004) and the third (2005) KESO were organized successfully. The IESO was established as one of the major activities of the\u00a0International Geoscience Education Organization (IGEO)<\/a>, during the International Council Meeting held in Calgary, Canada. The Meeting was part of the Fourth International Conference on Geoscience Education (GeoSciEd IV) in April 2003.
