{"id":716,"date":"2014-08-04T20:26:18","date_gmt":"2014-08-04T20:26:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.icog.es\/iageth\/?p=716"},"modified":"2014-08-04T20:31:23","modified_gmt":"2014-08-04T20:31:23","slug":"p3loki-by","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.icog.es\/iageth\/index.php\/p3loki-by\/","title":{"rendered":"IAGETH at the IX National Congress of Geology (Portugal) and 2nd Geological Congress of the Portuguese Speaking Countries (IXCNG\/2CoGePLiP)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.icog.es\/iageth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/logosporto.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-717 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/www.icog.es\/iageth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/logosporto-154x300.jpg\" alt=\"logosporto\" width=\"154\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.icog.es\/iageth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/logosporto-154x300.jpg 154w, https:\/\/www.icog.es\/iageth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/08\/logosporto.jpg 164w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 154px) 100vw, 154px\" \/><\/a>IAGETH at the IX National Congress of Geology (Portugal) and 2<sup>nd<\/sup> Geological Congress of the Portuguese Speaking Countries (IXCNG\/2CoGePLiP)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The IXCNG\/2CoGePLiP was held recently in Porto, Portugal, from the 20<sup>th<\/sup> to the 24<sup>th<\/sup> July, 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Two IAGETH Vice-Presidents &#8211; for Western Europe and Africa, Jos\u00e9 Carlos Kullberg and LopoVasconcelos, respectively -and the Treasurer &#8211; Rog\u00e9rio Rocha &#8211; attended the meeting and had an active participation.<\/p>\n<p>Jos\u00e9 Carlos Kullberg and Rog\u00e9rio Rocha presented 5 oral communications as co-authors, under two topics \u2013 Sedimentary Basins, and Geosciences for Society.<\/p>\n<p>LopoVasconcelos was invited to deliver a plenary talk on geological resources of Mozambique, and co-chaired the sessions of the topic Geociences for Society.<\/p>\n<p>During this session, a talk was delivered on \u201c<em>Dilemmas of Geoethics: their potentialities in the perception of characteristics of geological knowledge<\/em>\u201d by Ant\u00f3nio Almeida and ClaraVasconcelos from the Center of Geology of Porto University.<\/p>\n<p>This study aimed to verify how is the perception of 36 graduate students in courses of Geosciences about the applicability of Geology in society, particularly through its power to influence decisions of political, economic and social nature (extracted from the abstract of the paper).<\/p>\n<p>The program of this event can be downloaded<a href=\"https:\/\/www.skyros-congressos.pt\/geologia2014\/Programa_Final.pdf\"> here<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>IAGETH at the IX National Congress of Geology (Portugal) and 2nd Geological Congress of the Portuguese Speaking Countries (IXCNG\/2CoGePLiP) The IXCNG\/2CoGePLiP was held recently in Porto, Portugal, from the 20th to the 24th July, 2014.
