{"id":64,"date":"2013-04-23T17:13:28","date_gmt":"2013-04-23T17:13:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.icog.es\/iageth\/?p=64"},"modified":"2019-08-09T13:36:28","modified_gmt":"2019-08-09T13:36:28","slug":"gsaf-and-iageth-have-signed-a-memorandum-of-understanding","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.icog.es\/iageth\/index.php\/gsaf-and-iageth-have-signed-a-memorandum-of-understanding\/","title":{"rendered":"GSAf and IAGETH have signed a Memorandum of Understanding"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.icog.es\/iageth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/gsaf_logo_2009.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\" wp-image-65 alignleft\" alt=\"gsaf_logo_2009\" src=\"https:\/\/www.icog.es\/iageth\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/gsaf_logo_2009.png\" width=\"116\" height=\"116\"><\/a>A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.geologicalsocietyofafrica.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Geological Society of Africa&nbsp;<\/span><\/a><\/span>(GSAf) and the International Association of Geoethics (IAGETH) was signed on&nbsp;the 26th April 2013 by the Presidents of the two organizations, Prof. Aberra&nbsp;Mogessie (GSAf) and Prof. Jes\u00fas Mart\u00ednez-Fr\u00edas (IAGETH), who is also the GSAf&nbsp;Goodwill Ambassador to Spain.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Objective of the Memorandum of Understanding<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The objective of the MoU is to bring the two organizations together to raise the&nbsp;awareness in African geoscientists to the importance of giving due attention to&nbsp;ethical aspects and issues during their professional activities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Areas of cooperation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">\u0001 Both organizations will have a link to the other organization in their&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">respective websites.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">\u0001 When organizing scientific events, both organizations will include their&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">respective logos.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">\u0001 Members of each organization will have free access to the materials&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">produced by the other organization.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">\u0001 Both organizations will support each other in international fora for the&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">development of their respectiveactivities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">\u0001 Other similar activities as might be deemed necessary and agreed upon&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 13px; line-height: 19px;\">by both organizations in the future.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This Memorandum of Understanding is signed for an initial period of four years&nbsp;and will be automatically renewed, for the same period, except indicated otherwise&nbsp;by either party.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Geological Society of Africa&nbsp;(GSAf) and the International Association of Geoethics (IAGETH) was signed on&nbsp;the 26th April 2013 by the Presidents of the two organizations, Prof. Aberra&nbsp;Mogessie (GSAf) and Prof. Jes\u00fas Mart\u00ednez-Fr\u00edas (IAGETH), who is also the GSAf&nbsp;Goodwill Ambassador to Spain.
