In the last three decades, radar images have been increasingly implemented for earth observation. This seminar is in the framework of research carried out in Antarctica (Projects CTM2011-26372; SOAR Education International LI23275) and will focus on: 1) the state of the art of radar imagery: from data acquisition to the most advanced techniques (polarimetry, interferometry, tomography) and in 2) the use of active remote sensing system for polar, permafrost and periglacial features.
