Sin embargo, es bien conocido que determinadas zonas de nuestro planeta se vienen utilizando como \u201can\u00e1logos planetarios\u201d por sus distintas caracter\u00edsticas, fundamentalmente geol\u00f3gicas (mineralog\u00eda, geoqu\u00edmica, etc). Lugares como los existentes en la Ant\u00e1rtida, Atacama, Australia o Canad\u00e1, entre otros se vienen utilizando para validar modelos cient\u00edficos y probar nuevos instrumentos de inter\u00e9s para el espacio. Espa\u00f1a cuenta con una rica geodiversidad que est\u00e1 reconocida internacionalmente y ello hace que dispongamos de lugares muy relevantes como R\u00edotinto, el Jaroso-Sorbas, el Golfo de C\u00e1diz, el \u00e1rea volc\u00e1nica de Calatrava o sitios como Tenerife o Lanzarote donde incluso los astronautas de la Agencia Espacial Europea (ESA) han realizado su instrucci\u00f3n geol\u00f3gica y astroibiol\u00f3gica.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Dos ge\u00f3logos espa\u00f1oles de la Universidad Complutense de\u00a0Madrid y del Instituto de Geociencias del CSIC, Ana Bel\u00e9n Gal\u00e1n-Abell\u00e1n y Jes\u00fas Mart\u00ednez-Fr\u00edas acaban de establecer un nuevo concepto de an\u00e1logo de Marte, que no est\u00e1 fundamentado en un concepto exclusivamente espacial, sino ambiental y temporal. Para ello, han utilizado como modelo las condiciones paleoambientales del Tri\u00e1sico Inferior de la Pen\u00ednsula Ib\u00e9rica en relaci\u00f3n con la zona de Meridiani Planum (Marte).
